From Nepal to the World

For me, that journey has been shaped by three countries—Nepal, Germany, and Australia—each contributing something unique to my personal and professional life.

Growing up in Nepal taught me resilience, community, and the value of education. Germany expanded my worldview and introduced me to new perspectives on governance, public policy, and international cooperation. Australia became the place where I continued my legal journey and now have the privilege of assisting individuals and families through the legal profession.

Each chapter has reinforced a simple belief: meaningful progress begins with understanding people before problems.

Nepal will always be home.

It is where I developed my values, completed my legal education, and began my early professional journey. My experiences working with communities, public institutions, and international organisations strengthened my belief that law is ultimately about serving people and improving lives.

The lessons I learned in Nepal continue to influence every decision I make today.

Moving to Germany to study a Master of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt was one of the most transformative experiences of my life.

Living in Europe exposed me to different legal systems, cultures, and approaches to governance. It taught me the importance of evidence-based policy, international collaboration, and lifelong learning.

More importantly, it reminded me that growth often begins outside our comfort zones.

Australia became the next chapter of my journey. After completing the required legal qualifications, I was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

Today, I practise primarily in Immigration Law and Family Law while continuing to write about law, public policy, international education, and the experiences that shape life across borders.

Living and working in Australia has deepened my appreciation for diversity, opportunity, and the importance of helping people navigate complex legal systems with confidence and clarity.

Although law is my profession, it is only one part of who I am. I am endlessly curious about the world and believe learning should never stop.

Beyond legal practice, I enjoy reading about history, leadership, economics, philosophy, and public policy. I have a growing interest in artificial intelligence and how technology can improve access to legal information while preserving the empathy and professional judgment that define good legal practice.

Outside work, I enjoy photography, travelling, yoga, meditation, and learning the Hindustani bansuri. These interests remind me that balance, creativity, and curiosity are just as important as professional achievement.

Throughout my career, I have met many people who searched for answers long before they ever spoke to a lawyer. Unfortunately, much of the information available online is either too technical, incomplete, or difficult to understand.

I created this website to offer something different. Here, I share practical legal insights, educational resources, personal reflections, and ideas that have influenced my journey. My hope is that these articles help readers make informed decisions, explore new perspectives, and better understand the world around them.
